Do not send us your tax file number. We do not need it and we do not want it in an enquiry form. The tax agent collects what they need once you have engaged them.

A registered tax agent contacts you
An agent near you calls or emails, tells you who they are and their registration and sets out their terms. Nothing is reviewed until you give them authority.
You get the finding in writing
Either the return looks right and you owe nothing, or there is an amendment worth lodging, with the expected position and the exact fee written down for you to approve or decline.

I have already lodged my tax return. Can I still claim money I missed?
Often, yes. A lodged return can be amended within the ATO's time limits: generally two years from the date your notice of assessment issued for individuals and four years for sole traders and small business from the 2024-25 income year. If a deduction or offset was missed, a registered tax agent can lodge an amendment and the ATO pays any additional refund directly to you. The review that finds out is free.
Is the review really free?
Yes. The review costs nothing, whatever it finds. A fee applies only if an amendment is lodged and you receive an additional refund, meaning money over and above the refund you already got.
Do I have to give you my tax file number?
Not to Untax. Do not put a TFN in our enquiry form. The tax agent will collect what they need, under their own privacy and TFN obligations, once you have engaged them.
